Defiance Upon a Crimson Shore

Casings. Casings everywhere. Bodies were strewn across the sand as flames raged on the crimson shores.
Eight men thrust a pole into the ground. A striped flag with stars in the corner rose; its colors flew defiantly in the wind.
A tribute to the success that their brothers would never get to see.
